Lorenzo Iipinge
Lorenzo Iipinge is a Competition Law Analyst at CCLAS Advisory Services. Lorenzo developed a strong foundation in competition law during his internship at the Namibian Competition Commission, where he was attached to the Enforcement, Exemptions and Cartels Division. During this period, he distinguished himself through his involvement in matters relating to restrictive practices, cartel conduct and exemption applications across the financial services, insurance and retail sectors. His responsibilities included case analysis and legal research, which provided him with practical insight into the administration and enforcement of the Competition Act 2 of 2003.
At CCLAS, Lorenzo’s practice centres on competition law analysis and advisory including merger and acquisition assessment, restrictive practices review, competition compliance audits, and the preparation of submissions and representations to the Commission. He further supports clients in identifying competition law risk in their procurement, commercial and pricing practices, and in designing compliance policies, programmes and training appropriate to their sector and exposure.
Lorenzo holds an LL.B from the University of Namibia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Principles of Compliance from the University of Johannesburg.
