Hitjiua Tjiho
Hitjiua Tjiho is an admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia with experience in providing legal, business and corporate governance support in financial services, competition law, administrative law, and public procurement matters.
Hitjiua has broad experience in regulatory matters by virtue of having served at the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority where he inter alia was involved in advising regarding the formulation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA) and the standards relating thereto. In addition, Hitjiua previously served at the Namibian Competition Commission (NaCC) whereby he played a pivotal role in legislative reform and was involved in various NaCC cases pertaining to cartels, abuse of dominance, exemptions and facilitating settlement agreements. Hitjiua has as part of his role at CCLAS advised clients in industries such as financial services, energy and telecommunications sectors.
Hitjiua holds a a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Honours, Diploma in Compliance Management as well as certifications in management development, board governance, money laundering control and risk management. Hitjiua is moreover a member of the Law Society of Namibia and the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa.
